In this position, you will work collaboratively with digital teams to transform complex data from various digital platforms into clear, actionable insights that inform campaign strategies and improve performance for nonprofits.

Objective of the Position The Digital Analyst plays a critical role in optimizing digital fundraising and advertising efforts by turning raw data into meaningful insights. This position is responsible for measuring digital campaign performance, identifying actionable trends, and creating dynamic reporting solutions to support strategic decision-making.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Analytics Director and collaborating closely with other members of the Analytics Department, the Digital Account and Advertising teams, and the Digital Production Department, the Digital Analyst transforms complex data from various digital platforms into clear, actionable insights that inform campaign strategies and improve performance. The Digital Analyst will develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and other tools, write and optimize SQL queries, and provide meaningful recommendations rooted in both data and an understanding of digital direct response marketing.

The Digital Analyst has strong analytical and technical skills, deep curiosity, familiarity with fundraising KPIs, and experience working with digital marketing channels such as email, SMS/MMS, display, social media, and paid search.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze the performance of email, display, paid social, paid search, and other digital marketing campaigns across multiple clients and platforms.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize reports and dashboards in Power BI (or similar tools) and/or paginated report tools.
  • Use SQL to extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets from internal databases (Azure SQL Server) and external APIs or platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, etc.).
  • Work with the digital team to translate client objectives into KPIs and measurable success metrics.
  • Automate recurring reports and support the migration of legacy reports to modernized formats.
  • Support ad hoc analyses and deep dives, including A/B test evaluations and user journey analytics.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve data quality and governance for digital performance data.

Job Requirements

Two to five years of experience in digital analytics, business intelligence, or marketing analytics; proficiency with SQL, including writing and troubleshooting complex queries; experience with Power BI, or similar platform, including report and dashboard creation, DAX, and Power Query; familiarity with digital marketing platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Ads, etc.); familiarity with email platforms (e.g., Engaging Networks, Luminate Online, etc.); ability to track gifts through organic channels; understanding of digital fundraising, direct response KPIs (CTR, ROAS, LTV, etc.); strong communication and data storytelling skills; comfortable juggling multiple deadlines and adapting quickly to shifting priorities; proactive with new ideas and improvements to ensure our digital analytics offerings are keeping up with industry trends.
